My experience has been that people tend to change email addresses more often than socks. Sometimes this is because they're using mailboxes tied to Internet service providers, and they lose the mailboxes when they switch providers. Other times it's because the mailbox they're using gets so much spam that they choose to abandon it and start over. If you'd like an account that is distinctive, free, and yours to keep as long as you need it, let me know and I'll be glad to create an account for you on the kwajkat.com domain. Unfortunately I don't have an automated way for you to set one up like you can do with other free account providers like GMail and HotMail, but it's quick and simple and all I need is the username you want to use and a password (or I can provide a password for you). Once the account is established, you can check your email without assistance or intervention from me. If you don't want an actual account on the domain but would like to have a forwarder to send all email addressed to you at kwajkat.com to your current mailbox, I can easily set that up too. This option is useful if you like the idea of having a kwajkat.com address but want the email to come to the mailbox you already use. The downside is that the forwarder must be updated anytime your email address changes. If you'd like to take advantage of the free email accounts available on kwajkat.com, get in touch with me and I'll be glad to set something up for you!

Comment by GUEST on 2008-01-24 14:37:21 Rex --- do you know/remember where the phrase "Kwajkat"comes from? It's always sounded right and familiar to me but origin-wise I'm stumped. Thanks! | Comment by Rex on 2008-01-26 04:52:28 Not sure where all it might've been used, but the one place I know of was on T-shirts. I had one as did a number of other kids. There were also Roi Rat shirts (I have one of those too) and even a Meck Mouse version. I have some pictures of me wearing my Kwaj Kat shirt in the photo gallery. | Comment by GUEST on 2009-06-24 04:43:57 Rex, Nice site. The photos bring back many shared memories – I was on-island '75 to '80, but was a few years behind you (graduated in '87). Thanks for sharing.
| Comment by GUEST on 2010-02-20 07:01:01 REX, I really enjoyed your site. I was a young adult when I was on Kwaj from 1970 to 1972, and your pictures brought me right back. I sometimes dream about the place. It seems like from another world. (A beautiful, simple world!) Thanks for the memories. Karen | |
